Motorcycle feeling.
Made for snow.

Light, silent and electric.

Alpsla gives you the freedom of motorcycle-style riding in winter.

Alpsla is a compact electric snow scooter developed by Bobsla in Austria for ski resorts, hotels, alpine huts, foresters, hunters and other professional snow users.

A NEW WAY TO RIDE WINTER

Not a snowmobile.
Not a motorcycle.

Alpsla combines the intuitive feeling of motorcycle riding with a lightweight electric tracked platform designed specifically for snow.

Lightweight

Compact and easy to handle — on the snow, during transport and in storage.

Easy to ride

Natural controls and an intuitive riding position make Alpsla easy to understand from the first ride.

Electric

Quiet electric drive lets you experience the snow and the mountains — not the engine.

THE SOUND OF WINTER

Hear the snow. Feel the wind.

Without a combustion engine beneath you, winter feels different.

FREEDOM

Less machine.
More winter.

Lightweight and compact, Alpsla is designed to make winter riding simple — from transport and storage to the moment you head out into the snow.

  • Lightweight

Less weight. More freedom to move.

  • Compact

Designed around what you need — and nothing you don't.

  • Easy to transport

Made to make getting to the snow simpler.

  • Easy to store

Less space in the garage. More winter outside.

ENGINEERING

Technical specifications — and what they mean in the real world.

MOTOR

High torque at low speeds

Tested on gradients up to 40%

Maximum speed: 45 km/h

BATTERY

72 V / 60 Ah

4.3 kWh standard battery

EXTENDED RANGE

Optional second battery available

Dimensions & Transport

Overall dimensions: 250 × 80 × 110 cm (L × W × H). For easier transport, the front ski can be removed with only three bolts, reducing the dimensions to 200 × 80 × 97 cm.

3 Riding Modes

Parkingup to 5 km/h

For precise low-speed manoeuvring when parking, loading Alpsla into a trailer or pickup, or moving in confined areas.

Ecoup to 20 km/h

Reduced-speed mode designed to increase range and provide relaxed, efficient riding.

Performanceup to 45 km/h

Full-performance mode for normal riding. Maximum speed is electronically limited to 45 km/h.

How far can Alpsla go?

We prefer to answer this question like engineers, not marketers.

Range on snow cannot honestly be expressed with one perfect number. The energy required to move a tracked vehicle changes significantly depending on the conditions.

Are you driving on freshly groomed snow or through untouched snow? Is the snow cold and dry or wet and heavy? Is it fresh powder, or 10–15 cm of soft snow over a firm base? Are you travelling horizontally or climbing continuously?

All of these factors matter.

Based on our first tests and calculations, with one standard 4.3 kWh battery we currently estimate:

Up to ~35–40 km

in favourable, prepared snow conditions

~10–15 km

with up to 2,000 vertical metres of climbing, depending on gradient and snow conditions.

We deliberately use ranges rather than promising one impressive maximum number.

Our goal is different: to build a machine with enough real-world range, climbing ability and power for the applications our customers actually need.

Built for climbing — not just peak power.

Alpsla is designed to deliver high torque at low speeds — where it matters most in difficult snow and on steep terrain.

The vehicle can pull itself out of deep snow and climb steep slopes from a standing start.

We have already tested Alpsla on gradients of up to 40% and are currently optimising the drive and control strategy with the goal of tackling 50–60% gradients.

For long and very steep climbs, maximum motor power alone is not the deciding factor. Motor temperature, controller temperature, battery current, traction, speed and energy consumption all matter.

The control system therefore manages speed, power and current to maintain traction, improve thermal performance and maximise the achievable climbing distance.

Tell us where you want to use it.

We don't want to promise miracles.

We want to understand the application.

Tell us your typical distance, altitude difference, gradient, snow conditions and required payload. We can then estimate whether the standard 4.3 kWh battery is sufficient or whether the optional second battery makes more sense.

As real-world testing continues, we will keep publishing what we learn.

BORN IN THE ALPS

From the makers of Bobsla.

Alpsla is developed by Bobsla GmbH, an Austrian company founded in 2019 and based in Absam, Tyrol, near Innsbruck.

We design and build electric tracked vehicles for real, everyday commercial operation in winter resorts.

From private events to major festivals

Our Bobsla vehicles have been used by resort and event operators in Switzerland, Austria and Finnish Lapland — for daily guest operations, races, corporate events and large public winter events.

That experience taught us something very different from simply building a prototype.

A resort vehicle has to work every day. It has to be intuitive for guests who have never driven it before. It has to handle snow, cold, repeated charging, hundreds of starts and stops, different drivers and intensive operation — and be straightforward for the operator to maintain.

We have operated in very different environments: from private events with just five guests to major public events with thousands of visitors.

At the Snow & Ice Festival in St. Moritz, Bobsla operated as part of an event attracting thousands of visitors. At other locations, our vehicles are used for smaller resort operations, corporate groups and dedicated snow-driving experiences.

The photo shows 14 Bobsla vehicles in Davos, Switzerland — a good example of what we mean by building machines for real operation rather than just demonstration.

Today, our vehicles are assembled in Absam, Tyrol, a few kilometres from Innsbruck, and supplied to winter resorts and specialised event operators.

Alpsla is the next step in that experience.

It takes what we have learned from years of building and operating electric tracked vehicles on snow — and applies it to a new machine designed to go further, climb higher and serve a much wider range of applications.
